 Day 1: Fes » Azrou (Cedar forest) » Midelt » Erfoud » Merzouga (Night in Desert Camp) [467 Km]

We will leave Fez behind and head towards Merzouga, crossing the Middle Atlas and its cedar forests. This mountain range extends 350 kilometres from the southwest to the northwest of Morocco.

On the way we will pass through towns such as Ifrane, known as the “Moroccan Switzerland” for the architecture of its houses and for being one of the most exclusive ski destinations in the country, and Azrou, one of the most famous Berber cities in Morocco.

Also on our Fes to Marrakech desert tour 2 days we will cross the Ziz Valley and the Ziz Gorges and pass through towns like Midelt or Erfoud. From Erfoud, we will take a desert road until we reach Merzouga.

At dusk, we will take some camels to reach the camp, where after a traditional dinner we will spend the night in the middle of the dunes.

 Day 2: Merzouga » Ouarzazate & Ait Ben Haddou » Atlas mountains » Marrakech [562 km]

As soon as you wake up you can enjoy the incredible image of the sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga. After this natural spectacle, you will go by camel to a hotel where you can wash and enjoy a breakfast that will give you the strength to continue the adventure.

Returning to the road, you will pass through the Palmeral of Tafilalet and the town of Rissani (the hometown of the Moroccan royal family) until you reach the town of Alnif. Then, you will cross the spectacular Anti-Atlas mountains to get to know the Berber villages of Tazarine and N’kob, visit the Draa Valley and its huge expanse of date palms.

After crossing the mountains through the port of Tizi N’Tnifift, you will reach the new Ouarzazate, where you will stop for lunch. On a full stomach, you will have a stop in the famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou or quick visit depending on the season, then, you will embark on the way back to Marrakech, before arriving at approximately 19:00, drop you off at your accommodation where our 2-day tour from Fes to Marrakech via Sahara desert ends.
